A Poem For Ivan On His First Proper Canadian Valentine There was a man, a silent man whose passion did not flare Exposed to scars of evil he gave his heart to care An Irishman, no doubt stubborn he thought not of his own Instead he set aside his needs in honour of those torn This Irishman, my cousin dear to my fragile parts With his love and loyalty I too can tend more hearts Anonymous BCSTS Colleagues The Days of Our Lives the rush and pain trickling up your spine as it spirals in conquest and writhes superficially you don't know what it is you feel it you cannot see it It knows you It attacks you but you move on... you move on and on... It keeps coming back stronger and more terrible you live It you bear It but you move on... you move on and on... sometimes It becomes unbearable, you pray and pray others are there to comfort, comfort, sooth, comfort... It comes back stronger the next, you have become weak, And then, GOD Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth loves you loves you...loves you...loves YOU It is temporarily gone But you know It will come back, you are thankful to the Father others you love are thankful to the Father they love you back, and take some of It away... GOD reminds you finally, life is for living and that is what you are doing living holding grasping GOD is happy, is joyful his child is living, loving living you are hapilly living, loving, living... It was there, barely seen, felt, heard trying to get out but GOD gives you rest for that one special day do not worry, cherrish it live it, love it, live it for life moves on, and on live love...
